Be green with technology! Using Sonar to put your computer to sleep.

Currently at this very moment, I have my computer running 24/7.  When I am not using it, I usually have it running Folding@Home but when I forget to have that running in the background, I have my monitor shut off after 20 minutes of inactivity and I have the computer go to sleep after 2 hours. It may be done without having to press a single key but could there be a better way? Of course you say, use a hotkey! I would forget to use the hotkey that would put the computer to sleep and that is why I use Windows’ automated power settings. What is there to say? It works fine. Now, I think I’m going to change all that because I have the power of Sonar and I applaud that this is available.

The program emits a sound we cannot hear from the speakers and the microphone listens for any returning echoes. I already have it up and running and I think I will keep it for a while.  My only worry is if it is necessary to have the computer put to sleep the moment I walk away. I’ll have to tinker with it but I’m happy I can go around and tell people that my computer uses sonar.
